Staying home this year for the game, food, etc due to some nasty weather expected later...
Made gumbo yesterday and just made the rice to serve it with... Ribs are on with a new rub and the wings are prepped for later. My wife is going to be setting up the anti-pasto tray, veggies, dips, etc. We'll have plenty of pic stuff for a few days
Think my beverage of choice will be a Woodford Old Fashioned at least starting out...
Pics to follow... Have fun everyone and be safe on the roads if you're heading out

Stay safe and enjoy yourself. We are not traveling far but no egg food today, though the cook is fairly good at what she does. We are only expecting rain here for the most part.

Sounds like a plan. What's your technique on the Old Fashioned? Have not done this yet but I'll follow this recipe and technique when I make one. Picked up some orange bitters just today. http://gearpatrol.com/2014/10/24/recipe-sean-brocks-pappy-van-winkle-cocktail/
Except I very likely will not be using Pappy. -
Sounds great...Enjoy the homestyle tailgate..Greensboro North Carolina

Some update pics...
This stick is an 80 ring gauge... Almost Spenser's gift size but surprisingly good. The gumbo served proper and the it's even better the 2nd day...
Ribs are going along with the wings to follow. Tried a new rub with the ribs.

Do you put a cherry in your old-fashioned? If so, check out the cocoa cherries on bourbonguy.com. They add a nice twist to your favorite drink.MMBGE / Large BGE / XL BGE (Craigslist Find) / SF30x80 cabinet trailer - "Ol' Mortimer" / Outdoor kitchen in progress.
