    I'm a big fan of the lowly leg quarter. If you can find me me more flavor on a chicken than that I would love to see it.

    Leg quarters are the real prime cut of chicken. Moist and flavorful. Nice!

    Leg quarters are good.  I like the drumstick and my wife likes the thigh.

    The Lowly Leg Quarter
    I'm sorry Doc, but I have to respond to your title with "BLASPHEMY I say, there is nothing lowly about the Chicken leg quarter"
    OK, now that I have that off my chest, very nice looking cook.
    Breast meat is way over-rated in my book.
    Give me the dark meat any day of the week.

    Lowly? Why do you say that? I eat WAY more chicken than anything else. I actually prefer breast meat, but there's sure nothing wrong with a quarter, especially when still warm!

    I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

    The chicken leg quarter is a misunderstood part of the chicken. I can prove it. On sale at Shop Rite, Perdue Chicken legs $1.39 a pound. Perdue chicken thighs, $1.39 a pound, Perdue chicken quarters.....99cents a pound! Save 40 cents for one swipe of the knife. Nice work as always Doc!

    When cooking only breasts - pre-egg-  I'd eat breasts.

    With Spatchcock and individual pieces on the Egg, it's Legs and Thighs and Quarters every time.

    @Doc_Eggerton‌, nothing wrong with simple.
    I was a big fan of chicken breast until I started doing spatchcocks. I get cravings for the quarters now.
