I tried this recipe from Food & Wine and it was really good, but very messy and difficult to serve; we ended up going caveman to eat it.

The ingredients all ready to go image Cooked Panceta in a Tbs of EVOO until it started to crisp a bit. image Added chopped celery, fennel, garlic and red onion. image Added whit wine and let cook down some, about 4 minutes image Added fish stock. image Added mussels and cooked until they opened. image Added Creme Fraiche, removed from heat and added parsley, lemon juice and crushed red pepper flakes. image Toasted up some garlic bread image Added a Bloody Mary Tomato Salad as a simple side image

Overall not a bad dinner.
