What is your guys opinion on this sauce? It seems like you only put it on chicken and that's fine. I like a vinegar based sauce and I think North Carolina has some of the best. Nothing like a pulled pork sandwich with the red coleslaw and a vinegar sauce. Thanks guys and I cant wait to see you in destin Florida in Sept

Please explain this sauce. Perhaps a recipe? When I think white sauce on chicken I think of an Alfredo Chicken Tortellini. Similar?LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Someone asked me for a white sauce recipe yesterday. Love to have one. I think it's an Alabama thing so it might involve a sister or cousin.

@MaC122 FWIW an alfredo sauce gives a nice complement to chicken w/ or w/out the tortellini. With a little red wine it's perfect.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Hmm white sauce for chicken well you can use an alferdo sauce like HphuskerFl said or you could try to make a velote sauce which is made from chicken stock or you could make a becheaml sauce which is made from milk then there is heating up mayo and adding your favourite seasoning there are a lot of option for youTrenton ON 1 mbge for now

Google Big Bob Gibson's white sauce and there is a recipe. Made some a couple of weeks ago and I liked it. Word to the wise though, do not put the chicken back on after coating with sauce. I tended to neglect the fact that mayonnaise is made with coil and when mayonnaise warms up the oil separates and drips onto burning coals......well I think you all get the picture....In the middle of Georgia! White sauce is best on chicken or smoked turkey. I live 30 minutes from Big Bob Gibsons where the sauce originated. It is a great tasting sauce but it definitely isn't sweet. If you get a chance try making it. It is served on the side here and all whole birds are dipped in the sauce after smoking.

I recently had my first white bbq sauce in a little place in Cherokee, NC. Great stuff. Mayo based. Tried to get the recipe but they would not give it up. The folks that owned the place were from Missouri, I think. Good Q even if they would not give me the receipe.

I always considered Alabama white sauce to be some variation of Big Bob Gibson's sauce. Lots of recipes out there for it. Nice for change from rubbed only spatched chickens.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

You have to try it to understand it. First I make mine with light mayonnaise the high octane version is just a tad over the top for me. This northern Alabama standard goes well with chicken and is not bad with a strong BBQ'd fish. I do Q dry with the sauce on the side.

It is good, but definitely different. Basically it is a mayo-based bbq sauce. I had a bottle from Big Bob Gibsons that someone picked up for me passing through. I think it is worth a try if you like mayo. At first I thought it sounded odd, but then I remembered that we use mayo in chicken salad all the time and for some reason it no longer seemed so odd.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

tried it once at big bob gibson's...never again! :-qVisca BarcaMes Que Un Club
