I see what you've done here.

Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.

Years ago my wife and I were enjoying a great steak dinner at a high end, white linen tablecloth steak house where at that time the New York strips that we both ordered were $50 each which the most I had ever paid and that's the reason I remember the price. At the table next to us was distinctive looking older couple and when their steaks were delivered the man whispered something to the waiter. We assumed he was ordering something special...well it was...a bottle of Heinz ketchup and he immediately covered his beautiful steak! In a very loud voice the "lady" threw down her napkin and yelled "G*D DAMNIT Harold this is the last time you will embarrass me!" and stormed out of there!

I'll step up and admit using ketchup, mustard, relish, onion and some other stuff on my hot dogs! You mean nobody else here has had a Chicago Dog run through the garden?

I won't eat ketchup on a hotdog, but I may have as a kid (as a kid, I've also eaten dirt).

But, about once a year a get a craving for a couple corndogs, and they require ketchup!  So sue me.

No ketchup on my hotdog, no sauce on my pulled pork or brisket. I want to taste the cook, not what comes out of the bottle. Ok, maybe a little good sauce, but not slathered over the meat so it is all you taste.

No I don't - nor do I live near Atlanta, but I enjoy a knock off of a Varsity chili dog - a chili dog sauce recipe which I have shared here before.

Nope, no ketchup for me.  I don't really eat it on anything.  I can't think of anything that I would really want to use it on that I wouldn't prefer an alternative.  Yellow, honey or spicy mustard, ranch dressing, horseradish....  So many things are better than ketchup!

I guess I should ask what is the deal with ketchup? Is there a inside joke that I'm not in on? I did some googling and from what I gather it's the number one selling condiment in the world. I'm going to be honest here. I love ketchup on just about any and every thing. So what's the deal my friends? Just curious.

In my opinion it covers up the real taste of the food. I am sure others have there own opinions.

I have zero issue with ketchup as long as it's Heinz or a craft batch. I like my hot dogs with chili, cheese, onions, mustard, relish and sauerkraut(not necessarily in that order or combination). It can be a little sweet at times so it works great with salty fries. On burgers, I really just want mustard as a sauce because the ketchup can cover the beef flavor if overdone.
