Just what the title says:
I'm looking for a good set of kitchen shears. They don't need to be super high end, but I would like a descent set. What do you all recommend?
Thanks,

I've had a pair of Wusthof's for a couple of years now and they've been great. Tonight, I was using them to spatch a 6 lb chicken and it was an effort. They're "good enough" though. I would buy again.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Picked mine up at Sams Club they're the Sani safe and can separate easily for cleaning and can sharpen the non serrated blade. It came as a two pack. I've used them "MANY" times over and works wonderful to Spatchcock etc.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

I was talked into a pair of Cutco ones but one of the girls friends that was selling for them. I told him when he made the appointment to give his presentation that I wasn't buying anything. He was just so cute and serious during his sales pitch that I gave in. LOL

This may sound hard to believe but my 22 year old CutCo shears which actually came as a "freebie" are still remarkably sharp and handle any meat and bones that I have ever tried to cut. I admit I am not familiar with other brands so maybe this will sound stupid...but make sure whatever ones you buy that they easily separate for easy cleaning! Left over chicken in between the blades would not be cool!

I have a pair of Shun Taskmasters that are bulldozers, use them for everything. Haven't required sharpening yet. Five stars.....

+1 on the CutCo. I've had mine for 13 years and they'd still cut my arm off!

+1 on Wusthof. I've used them to spatch chickens and even a small turkey with no issue.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

I have a pair with a curved blade that I picked up at a local restaurant supply store. They have a locking curved blade, and they were labeled expressly for poultry. I've been quite pleased with them.NOLA

Good grip, not too wide so you have bone cutting leverage and a bone notch is ideal. These are very good, will come apart, but not needed to clean. Got mine from Lee Valley Tools.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

I have a shear that is like the ones paramedics carry. It will cut a penny in half without harm to the blades and is made of stainless. Not sure of the brand, but it looks suspiciously like a Fiskar. It does not have the notch for cutting bones, but I have never missed it for my use in spatchcocking. It has great leverage so will cut through chicken leg bones without issue.A poor widows son.
