I too am tired of winter. We are in another cold snap and have endured over 200 cm of snow this year and Spring just can't seem to come soon enough. However, after reading your post, I am strangely feeling better.

I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

This table came from cbc I think...it was posted on my facebbok page.Roughly 16.5 feet of snow and we still have March to go.I've even seen snow in June so who knows what the grand total will end up being?
Lost my damn ashtool in the snow so guess i'll find that sometime in August when all this crap melts...lol. However the crossbar from my adjustible rig works just as good for removing ash Ive realized!!

500cm is about 196 inches or 5-1/2 yards, yikes!Skiddymarker said:Tjcoley said:How much is a cm? Darn metric system.Try it Tj - once you do that other stuff seems so backward. (SWMBO insists on cooking in cups and Tbs and tsps) - I use grams and mls - so easy to halve or double recipes.
Now you're in my area of expertise: archaic units of measure. A rod is 16.5 feet. A chain is 66 feet. An acre is 43,560 square feet. Acre is also the only acceptable time to put the r before the e when it makes an "er" sound.Flint, Michigan -

And a meter is about 9.8425 hands. So you've had a horse load of snow.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

Maybe for that huge pointy pile you have at the end of the drive way, the cubit would be more appropriate, you've had about 10 cubits of snow fall this year....Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Sorry, but I'm going to have to be pedantic. We are talking about water, frozen or not.Fathom, people. We should be using Fathom.

LS- you lose this one, Freddy is right. The only reason we stick to the "re" rather than change it to the "er" suffix is to make it easy in both French and English, once again we Anglophones appease the country that would be. Even our biggest bank bows to the American logic. The measurement is a metre, designed in France, while we measure electricity with a meter, just like our American cousins.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
