I'm hoping the answer will be, "no problem," but I just want to make sure. I'm dying to try out my new DO in my BGE, but Chicago is due to have some more sub-zero weather soon. Should I worry about heating up the BGE when it's that cold out? Granted, the experience will be lacking since I can't be out there with it, but I'm still looking forward to it. Any words of wisdom or encouragement will be welcomed.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey-here's something that works for me when shutting down after a cold weather cook-I place aluminum foil on the lower gasket surface for most of the circumference-(just slightly wider than the gasket width) then shut the dome. Eliminates the "BGE frozen shut drill" next time I use it. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
