Do I need a torque wrench to adjust the bolts or can I do it with a regular wrench?

    Same people who drive an hour to save $50 on an Egg...than buy a Torque wrench to put the bands on?  LMAO

    Back to @jlsm do you need to remove the band to change a gasket, of course not. Is it easier to change the gasket if the spheres are separated, IMHO, yes. It is much easier to take them apart and then clean them with the gasket surface up. Some of us just like to tinker with stuff, others don't. 
    @ Solson005 replacing the bolts is a good idea IMHO. As far as the band bolts go, my egg came with #3 bolts with three radial lines on the head, made of low-med carbon steel quenched and tempered, meaning they have a proof load of about 85,000 psi. No mark on the head means they are not quenched and tempered with a proof load of 55,000 psi. On my MBGE, the bolts are not deformed much at all, they are torqued. Make sure you replace with adequate bolts.
