Do I need to season a new CI grid (like other CI cookware) before using it the first time?

Best to, but it really doesn't matter as most of us never clean them, we just burn off what's there.I washed mine to remove any "shipping" oil. Rub it down and low heat to season, then let her rip.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
