Am I the only one who does this? I'd guess no.
- I never check on my car which is obviously way more valuable
- My backyard is secured
- The eggs are in a big ol' table. Sure they could leave the eggs, but I'm making sure it's all still there.

When I first got my egg, I did the same. Was even thinking about chaining my egg table to the back porch. It has big 5" casters.
I didn't because the egg and table weigh about 400 pounds and they'd have to go down 4 steps, then through perpetually wet grass until they get to a trench (now a moat), then through a gate then passed a gauntlet of neighbor's yard filled with ferocious barking misfit dogs, past at least 4 cameras and 4 motion-sensing flood lights.
Come to think of it, that sounds too easy. I'm chaining it up as soon as I get home....

My wife is hysterical. About 10 minutes ago she caught me standing in front of my sliding glass door looking at my egg. At least she now knows I'm not alone. Thank you!!!

Nope...I'm pretty sure at some point I would have heard the crane lifting my setup out of the patio.

Never thought of it, my dad asked me if I was worried someone would steal, I laughed and said well I guess someone could but I don't think many know what it is! Maybe I am too trusting!

Reminds of my wife who grew up in the country and was accustomed to leaving the keys in the ignition and the house unlocked.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
when i was 21 or so, i drove my new car to Vt for the weekend (we had a place up there). so damn cold out, i left it running in the parking lot while i did food shopping. came out, hopped in, and drove away. nice warm car, still there when we got outside.

Right after I got mine, a friend told me to keep an eye on it because he had his stolen. Now I'm ruined, but at least I have someone to blame it on.Amateur Egger; professional rodeo clown. Birmingham, AL

I do. But not worrying it's stolen, no one even knows what it is. But I just go outside ever now and then and look at it. Wife already knows I'm nuts about it._______________________________________________XLBGE

I do this hahahaha. Kind of sad, but just fun to look at -
I talk to my eggs. When I cook on the XL I tell the large it is his big brothers turn and he can play next time.

No issues here.. these 2 are pretty protective of the egg. 60lbs of muscle and slobber lol.

Too funny! I'm always outside messing with it. I do this with all new toys though. I'm sure it will wear off at some point. I've only had mine for a month and a half.

I jus walk by mine occasionally and check to see if they are cooking without me...
Rockwall Texas, just east of Dallas where the humidity and heat meet! Life is too short to get caught in the fast lane behind somebody slow!

It's safe to say that I'm not alone.

I'm in an apartment on the ground floor and for two years now, no one has bothered either one of my eggs. I actually have to look at them if I glance out the doors towards the patio. So far, so good. Maybe I've just been lucky

My little buddy only asks for a little steak once in awhile and bones from the butcher and in return hes got me covered.
-
When not fired, mine stays in the garage with my vehicles, I started this when we had a bear come through and terrorize the neighbors last year. All I could think about was the egg going over and being in pieces when I came out one morning. So I made a spot in front of my truck
