First Brisket with the CyberQ Wifi

Well, just got my Cyberq in this week and wanted to cook my first brisket. Put a 6 pounder on lastnight around 11:30p and set the Cyberq to a pit temp of 225 and the meat probes 195. Man, it's been rock solid, no issues at all. This device is going to make my life so much easier and best of all can monitor and adjust from anywhere.
If you are looking around for temp controllers, check the CyberQ Wifi out. No negative comments here...I love this thing. My brisket should be done in a couple of hours. Hope it turns out good.

How are people getting the probe into the BGE? Looks like a lot of people just run it through the gasket - does that create problems with the seal?

Is it possible to feed the probe through the daisy wheel?
I figure one cable would be okay, but if I have one for this, one that controls the temperature of the meat, and one that is checking the temperature at the grill level of the egg, it might be a bit much.. -

It's possible to put them through the daisy wheel but there's no good reason to do so.
I figure one cable would be okay, but if I have one for this, one that controls the temperature of the meat, and one that is checking the temperature at the grill level of the egg, it might be a bit much..Putting them under the lid is more direct, and it doesn't hurt the probes or the gasket.Plus, you want to measure the temp at grid level (cuz that's where the meat is).On a low and slow cook, I regularly run 4 wires under the lid (2 from my DigiQ controlling the egg and 2 from my Maverick ET-73 controlling me as to when I should get off my ass!).Packerland, Wisconsin -
I use two of the probes for food temperature. One in the point and one in the flat. Nice to see the differnces when cooking. Also, I clip the temperature probe to the BGE thermometer. I don't thread them through the daisy wheel. It's no problem putting them all through the gasket.Small (hatched 6/13/2015)
