Wife Brought Home a Pool.

The wife of mine brought home a above ground pool on Saturday so My neighbor and I put it up. Living in Dallas we dont have much public pools because the city is broke and I dont have a country club membership. Parents have a lake house but I can only deal with them so much.

Had a party yesterday to get the pool ready and we fired up the egg. I made the ABT's and some pineapple souked in rum and then brown sugar and red pepper for spice.

I let my neighbor make burgers on the egg and they came out incredible(His wife is making him buy a egg this weekend now)

Had another friend come over who is a great cook also and he made chicken thighs (Siracha,Honey,Mango,Onion,and Lime juice) we then cooked those for 325 with a little hickory chunk for 45 MIN. He now is looking at getting an egg also.

So I got two friends this weekend on the wagon.

She even got us a floating cooler. Summer should be not that bad.

Nice time to get a pool. It looks like it is going to be a hot summer. Pool will come in handy. Nice egged food too

LOL!!! Doesn't also need to build a launching platform of some sort for the melon? ;)

No, no. That is all done manually at pool level. We aren't that smart.

I was also going to point out that you need some knucklehead buddies but I see he has that covered with his MENSA crew. He appears to be in good hands.

OP, enjoy the pool, nice of your friends to help out. Feeding them off the BGE probably helped in more ways than one with your buddy's wife "making" him get an Egg. Win win situation for all.

Yep those guys are staright out of Mensa, it looks real bad because our wives are all the ones taking the pictures. So three dudes in a uneven pool that spells disaster.

Also sorry I dont have the measurements of the chicken marinade. Just a little here and there till you get what you like.

Hey all, newb here...
When making ABT's, if you scrape all the membrane and seeds out, how much heat does the jalapeno deliver (assuming you don't add any other heat source/spice)??
They look great, but the wife doesn't like the spicy stuff...

My Mrs & son aren't into heat either. They love them with the ribs and seeds removed.
