Mickey's package arrived today via FedEx! It was packaged so securely for it's trip across the country that it took a good half hour to carefully unwrap.

First of Many Cooks Planned for the Mini
Brie Cheese Topped with Almonds Slices, Blueberries, Fresh Tarragon
Decided to do this for my first Mini cook, since I didnt finish getting it set up until after dinner. It turned out quite excellent! The Mini was up to 400 degrees in less than 10 minutes and used almost no charcoal for the cook. In short, it lived up to it's hype!

Do the bars on the cooking grate run the entire length of the grate?
-
So clean...I hope for you that won't last long.
Very cool.

Dan don't know where you have time for the BGE's with the two Minis running around. Hope you like and please keep sending picks. Don't let Big Sister into the carrots.Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

Sodiii - let me know if the support bars run the length of the grate.
I have a mini woo I could spare if you are interested.
It is for the 10 in grate. It does not have the notches for the grate with the support bars running all the way across the grate. -
Mickey - nice work, man.

Tom sent me a new one for the appropriate grate
So I have an extra. -
@ sodiii. How did u cook the brie?
-
Frankie482 - They do run the length of the grate, so I will probably do what Mickey suggests. Unless my mini woo works with this style grate -- I haven't had a chance to try mine out yet, but now plan to take a closer look tomorrow to see if my mini woo has the slots you mentioned. Thanks!
-
It looks like my mini woo has the slots mentioned, so I guess I won't have to cut the support bars after all.
