My sister and her husband texted me a pic of what they got me for Christmas. A himalayan salt block. I have heard mention on this forum before about them but I am going to need to do some research for a while. :woohoo:

from what I can remember.....Beli has done some cooking with the salt block. I love ethnic cuisine and I'll bet all the rck salt in my ice cream maker that you can help me.

I believe Beli is still resting from the COOP party
last weekend in Spring TX and is on a cruise ship.
LC started a few years ago with a salt block, Ross did some recently and I got one. Search forum "himalayan"
It is a great present, just DON'T soak in water, haha. Happy Salting and no it does not impart a heavy salt flavor to the food.
