Julie: I will be waiting with garlic breath!! :woohoo: Seriously, that was some of the finest garlic I have worked with, and I thank you both! And yeah...I think Tim has me pegged by now, and knows that stuff just doesn't 'jump' into my cart. I keep trying to convince him though.

Back when Tim thought he didn't like lamb, I would do a couple shanks along with beef short ribs. He's come around now though... :laugh:

Thanks Mike, and you are welcome! It will work perfect on a pot roast! There will be some ingredients to change of course, which you well know, but the technique works perfect for things like a roast! Keep me posted!!

love the idea of lamb shanks. we can get them here easy enough. i'll do this next time instead of the osso bucco.
speaking of osso bucco, here's a cool tip. you won't have to reply to so many people if you do osso bucco, because you'll get a third of the response. it's almost the same cook, but if you look at all the times it has been done here no one cares. the shanks seem to be the difference. and maybe the cooked egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante
