Anyone tried freezing corned beed and cabbage?

I made a giant pot of it (is there any other way) and just will not be able to eat it all. Anyone had any luck freezing in Food-saver™ bags? I'm going to give it a shot, as it will be thrown out anyway...

    I'm thinking that unless you flash-freeze it the cabbage will likely not survive the freeze. May want to freeze the meat and cabbage separately just in case.

    Every St. Pat's Day I cook CB@C for 300-400 people. There is never much left, but ,yes, I have frozen it with no problem. Heats up great!
  • Unfortunately, it would be near impossible to separate out the meat and cabbage at this point, as it is already combined. (I used the canned stuff :ermm: )

    I do not knowing anything about corned beef but I use cabbage in my vegetable beef stew and the cabbage is just fine after freezing.
    This is the greatest signature EVAR!
  • Well, thanks for the replies, I'm going to give it a shot, freezing into one-serving size bags. It's too tasty to throw away!
