There's a great block party at Parasol's in the Irish Channel.  I'll get more info to ya later, cooking right now.

+1 for coop's place, the gumbo is great! You know it's seafood gumbo when you pull out an oyster double the size of your spoon. If you like breakfast and your stuck on the french quarter, check out cafe "Fleur De Lis", the country breakfast is delicious! Not much in the way of seating so you might want to make a reservation or get there early.

Also love Killer Poboys in the Erin Rose (formerly Nugents) bar.  Best, most interesting/creative poboys I've found. Good as a pregame snack.

Grilled biscuit, alligator sausage, grilled tomatoes, poached eggs, homemade country gravy 

Go to Drago's for the Charbroiled Oyosters.
They are a must have
But go to the one in the { Fat District }

Man on man I love me some chicken at Willie Mae's.....  She get the stamp of approval from this fat boy who used to call that area home back in college!  Many LONG weekends spent staggering around eating all sorts of things that looked like they might have eaten you a few hours earlier!!!!!!

Dragos has gone downhill since the patriarch died.  Acme is actually pretty reliable.  One of the best places to eat, IMO, is my house.  Give me a PM and we might be able to do some cooking.
