#1 son came home this weekend and asked for brisket and pulled pork for him and some buddies. Made enough for him to take back home as well. Brisket was CAB Prime from Costco with salt and pepper rub. Pork was rubbed with Oakridge Competiton beef and pork rub. Love this on butts. Great flavor and awesome color too. Both turned out really nice.
The boy was happy and his buddies were too.

i haven't cooked a brisket slow in months. This is the first one since Brisket camp. Low and slow makes it jiggly. Jiggly is good.That Oakridge rub is really, really good on pork. Highly recommendedKeepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Both look great! I'm thinking bout throwing a brisket on maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. It is a select grade though. Gonna try Oakridge black ops brisket rub on it.
