    You get bricks to raise?
Was going to , but they didn't have any thin bricks at my local Lowes, but across the aisle from where they had bricks, they had different metal brackets and I found these L shaped things that were 4 inches long & cheap, so I bought 3 of them.

@Zmokin‌, Please give more details about the brackets. Sturdiness and ease of using. Pics if possible.

I'm still learning...so please take it easy on me....

I have a XL and I made a 2nd tier in order to have 2 levels of cooking grid.

My lower level is at the felt line....sitting on the legs of the PS. My higher one is adjustable from 6-10 inches above the felt line. My main grill is factory BGE, my upper is 18" SS Weber.

Here is my question...is there any reason I would want to raise my main grid other than to have the extra cooking area (main grid is larger than the 18" upper grid).

    Thanks in advance !!

@dldawes1‌, when cooking direct, raising the grid keeps the heat from burning your food. If you put the grate in without the PS your cooking area will be at the top of the fire ring not the felt line. You'll have better control of the cook when egging direct if the grid is raised. With your setup, you can accomplish the same effect using your top grill without the PS.
