OT Lost my little Egging Puppy Monday

The Final Chapter
It is with a very heavy heart that we have to share with everyone that our little guardian angel MollyJ left us Monday to go be with our Granddaughter in Heaven. She came into our lifes9 years ago and brought so much joy to us when we so very much needed it. She was always there for us, constantly under foot, hugs good night at bedtime, kisses in the morning and always protecting us from the dangers around us. Whenever we came home we were treated like Rock stars. When ever I went out to light the eggs she was right there with me and I sure missed her today when lighting the Egg.
May our little Precious Butterfly Puppy Rest in Peace.

So sorry for your loss. I always thought 'it's just a dog' until I had to put down my 7 year old Golden Retriever for cancer. Had to sit in the vets parking lot for 20 minutes til I could see through the tears. Amazing how much pets influence our lives.

So VERY sorry to read of your loss. My wife and I have lost 5 of our dearest little four legged heaven sent "children" over our 48 years of marriage so we know the pain. Bless all of you!

We lost both our babies after 15 wonderful years and it's never easy (they are pictured here)and we had them from babies -bother & sister---we also had the Mother & Father who have also passed on. They aren't LIKE family they ARE Family. And here's our current princess (kinda a Diva).Very sorry for your family's loss. May time heal your family's sorrow.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Condolences, never easy. Some one on the forum has a great signature - something like - If dogs don't go to heaven, when I die I want to go wherever they went. So true...

Awww....think of all the happy times.  Whenever you get adopted by a non-human animal, one of you will go to the great bbq pit in the sky at some point. Inevitable.  Because we're blessed by FSM with a long elephant-like life span, it's usually the little critters that go first.  I think about that every time a little critter adopts me.  And it breaks my heart.  But I live in the moment, as long as the moment is. Love perseveres.

Condolences. So sorry to hear about your loss. It's never easy to lose a four legged furry baby. She looks like she was a sweetheart. ONe of our boys gave us a scare the other night showing just how old he is getting. You have to savor the short time we are given with them and cherish all the good memories.
