OT - Not Egging For A Few Days

But there will be plenty of pictures and video...

Leaving for Disney in the morning. Elise still has no idea we are going, can't wait to see and hear her reaction tomorrow when she gets up thinking she has school and instead we're going to Disney & Universal

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I am sure I'll have at least a few pictures ;) to share when we get back...

Sounds incredible Hap.  Video her reaction to the news.  You'll want to relive that forever.

As someone that worked in those parades for 11 years that is nice to hear. I was always impressed that we could crank out 3 parades a day on the magnitude of the Rose Parade or the Macy's parade.

@hapster, if they are open late and doing the fireworks, make sure to catch the preshow where they use the castle as a giant video screen. I was there in August and it was the most impressed I have been at Disney since the first time I went there - as a 9 year old on the day of the grand opening in 1971.

  • Perhaps I am the eternal child, but that is my favorite place to go in the world.  Take lots of pics but don't let the pictures get in the way of making the memories.  Have a great time Hap and we will see you next week.

Never seen a kid more underwhelmed... Maybe it hasn't hit her yet? She reacted way more strongly last week when I said she could go out and play with her friends...

I'm sure she get more excited as the day unfolds

Lol my 14 year old was the same exact way when she found out. It wasn't till she saw Cinderella's Castle that it hit her.

    Have a safe trip!!

Made it hear safely, spent the rest of the day and evening at downtown Disney.

    Been a blast so far...

Here are few pics. Starting this morning at the airport with a Bloody Mary, Elise flying for the first time and finishing with a virgin mojito

Looks like fun so far!  When you get into Disney, get her a lanyard and a few pins.  Then she can trade pins with every employee throughout the park.  Just go up to one and if they have something she likes, make the trade.  My daughter really enjoyed this and she'll meet some cool people in the process.

Hope yall have a fabulous time!  If you haven't seen it, we saw Blue Man Group at Universal City Walk and it was an awesome show.  A must see!

Have a great time. Looks good so far. Can't wait til the Grand daughter is old enough to do Disney. One of the best vacations with our kids.

Some of the pins have "hidden mickeys" and they're worth more. Always ask if they have any. Have fun.

Here she is on the shuttle home from Universal. Spider-Man was the best ride; loved that one. Now time for a little swimming and some adult beverages before bed.

That's awesome! Theme Parks are the only thing that can kick my kids butts too.

Spider-Man, Transformers, and Harry Potter were my favorites. Very immersive rides.

It would depend on how many times you plan on going. The kids would be excited at 2. 4 is better. Our first trip to Disney was in 1973 when my son was 2. Every trip has been a great trip.
