question about beer and Bone Suckin Sauce

Doing my braised pork country ribs for the Athens eggiest.  What beer would go well with bone suckin sauce.  I usually braise in equal amounts if beer and sauce.  Just can't decide what beer to use.  Any suggestions...Thanks

I'm a big fan of cooking with shiner.

Maybe a rasberry wheat of some kind.
Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

The good thing about beer and BSS is that you can baste with either one and drink the other!

first off... don't sacrifice a beer for bbq.
second... Canadians have no decent beer so use on of theirs.

I agree about wasting beer and about using american beer. Our Canadian beer is too strong =))

    Travis,

I dare you to watch a baseball game with a 24 of Molson Ice in a cooler close by. First time you have to pee you won't make it up the stairs

That makes no impact on what I said. I'm sure Alaska is a nice place but they have to import beer. BTW I can head butt up to about 6'4"

Me, I like a porter or a stout for most BBQ cooking, regular beer does not have enough Fwoomp, or is that a flashback?

All good choices.  The more I taste the combination in my mind I am starting to lean towards a good porter.  Shiner Bock is also in the running.  I do want a beer that compliments and plays well with the bone sucking sauce.
I just purchased a 6 pack of Abita strawberry but that is for the cooks only.

Thanks everyone....probably make up my mind saturday morning.

My sister really seems to enjoy Timmys out in Columbus. What do you have against it? I've never been. Yes, Krispy Kreme is 10x better than DD.
