My menu, which doubles as fathers' day & my birthday!

Appetizer: seared diver scallops with jalapeno cilantro infused butter sauce and grilled tiger prawn cocktail

Entree: Seared 35-day dry aged bone-in ribeye steak with a horseradish cream sauce, served with asparagus & hollandaise sauce, garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes, and grilled corn on the cob.

Dessert: not sure, my wife is supposed to be making something (hopefully the strawberry cream tart I hinted at earlier in the week!). we'll see. lol

I am co-hosting a Texas BBQ for about 20 folks on Tellico Lake. Our menu is

    Brisket
    Beef sausage (home ground)
    Beef ribs
    Texas pit beans
    grilled corn
    white bread (home made)
    Fajitas

Weird thing is I will be Eggless! Using my co-host's Stumps, Klose, and Weber. Should be fun.

Absolutely! And it will be all for me, of course I will share if the family wants some. Heading to the store in the morning as well.

I am thinking wings and ribs. That should keep me busy, after I go on a nice long hike early in the a.m.

  • Hi Chris,

Sounds great, but guess you have to convert some folks to the Egg today....Have a Great Day..

    Cheers....Jerry
  • Best of Luck....Hope the first overnight cook has gone well...

    Happy Fathers Day.
  • I've been planning for several days now for today. We are having Surf and Turf:

    Scallops and Ribeye
    Tossed salad
    Mashed potatoes

I'm going to wrap a few scallops each in bacon, turkey bacon and prosciutto and see what the family likes best.
  • I am interested in hearing about the Jalapeño Cilantro infused butter sauce is prepared. I did a very nice Spicy Grilled Jalapeño and Lime marinade last night. It was excellent.

  • If my Applewood smoked bacon wrapped scallops turn out as nice yours on your web site, I know what everyone will get in the future.
