I don't think you can say you have lived a full life if you haven't cracked a CI griddle in two yet. :)) I'd worry more about thermal shock, so just be careful to let the item heat up …3 · -

Here's how I do them, although I usually don't brine them anymore. No nails. 1 hour at 400 degrees on a raised grid on a pizza stone in a small Egg does the trick. Baked Potatoes1 · -

One other comment on the batteries regarding another common question is how do the batteries do in cold weather. Lithium batteries are the answer to that. Expensive but the work in the cold weather.1 · -
