You could place a pan of water in the egg, acts as a heat sink and should bring your grate temp down. I have a hard time keeping my egg below 250 even with vents barely open.1 · -

Lazy but still wanted steak!!
i haven't fired up the gasser since July of 2016. Wanted a steak but didn't feel like waiting for the egg to get to temp. Had to remember how to light the thing!! Swmbo likes her steak ruin…3 ·
