I have done turkeys on the BGE, but not a bread-stuffing type one. Is it okay to stuff with bread stuffing? I'm thinking since BGE works similar to the oven, that you can. I just don't see any recipes for stuffed turkey. I frequently utilize Mad Max's turkey info in the past, too.
As far as gravy goes, I'm thinking that you would just need to keep enough juice in with the bird.
Any comments would be helpful.... Thanks, Dawn

i usually do not stuff the bird, however have done a few turduckens that have been stuffed and it works great. Just don't use lots of smoke as the stuffing will soak it up and be overpowering.

Although it looks nice, stuffing a bird is generally a bad idea. Stuffing the bird means that you need to cook the bird a fair bit longer which increases the risk of overcooking the breasts and drying them out. It's a better idea to make a 'stuffing' separately and use the birds cavity to add aromatics such as rosemary, lemon, sage, cinnamon etc.

Deltadawn,
I have made it in the bird and it's ok. This is what I do now.

ii like stuffing cooked in the bird, food police wise its considered unsafe. it gets bitter if exposed to smoke, heres a way around that...THE FRANKENTURKEY
