It was definitely a different EGGtoberfest. There were many people not there that I missed but hundreds of new people whom I had never met before. There were many people cooking at their first EGGfest and their enthusiasm was obvious.

I certainly enjoyed walking around meeting new folks and seeing a couple of old timers (Rodney Deal cooking at his 13th EGGtoberfest and Larry Ward NOT cooking at his first EGGtoberfest ever) and so many new people who were just excited about being at their first EGGtoberfest ever cooking or otherwise.

There were certainly a lot of good things cooked:
Crawfish Pizza - Bayou Egger and Toots (actually she said it was something different)
TNT Bombs - Bob Quiero
Spicy Lemongrass/Coconut Grilled Chicken - Bob Quiero
Rev'd Up Black Beans - Bob Quiero
You had me at Marshmellow - GABuckeye
Italian Sausage and Chicken Cacciatora - Dr. Zaius
Potato Casserole - Chef Arnoldi
Zuppa Toscana - Chef Arnoldi
Breakfast Braid - Rooney Caldwell
Redfish Lollipos - Jeff Caldwell
Charbroiled Shrimp - Jeff Caldwell
Grilled Pork Loin - Jeff Caldwell
Brisket and Italian Sausage Sliders - Dr. Zaius
Brushetta Gorgonzola - Susan Egglaine
Spicy Stuffed Shrimp Shells - Susan Egglaine
Jambalaya - Susan Egglaine
EGG Damper - Team Loeffler
PepperSnaps - Team Loeffler
Pork Lover's Hickory Smoked Beans - Eric Hinman
Smoked Salmon - Danny and Mary Gerschwin
Cheesy Spinach and Artichoke Dip - Chris Johnson
Florida Gulf Coast Paella - Green Man Group
Maple Smoked Turkey Breast - JoAnn Johnson
Island Chicken Legs - Doug Johnson
Jim Wimer's Ribs - Jim Wimer
Marestti - Kim Youngblood
Rocky Mountain Oysters - Patrick Baker
Skewered Chicken Hearts - Patrick Baker

plus lots of other who say they will either post or send me their recipes.

What did you guys like? What do we need to make sure makes it into the EGGtoberfest 2010 Cookbook?

That's the way to really get out and mingle at an eggfest! Good job with the names!

From the feeling in my legs I must have gotten out and have done quite a bit of walking around. I shot quite a few pictures as well. However I spent entirely too much time in the beer line to post them tonight. Also from the way my face looks, it was also bright and sunny out.

I do have shots but posting will have to wait a day or so. Attendance was around 3000. There were a LOT of people there. Smokey got to do a lap in the pace car but was quite upset when the driver wouldn't go above 120.

It was an honor getting to meet you yesterday, Mr. Wise! (Met you at the long beer line) I didn't get to sample even half of what I wanted to because of either

    a) being too full

    or

    b) being on one side trying one item when another came off on the other side and it was gone by the time I got back

It was a great time for me, but it was our first ever.

    My 3 personal favorites were:

    Lofflers Pepper Snaps
Green Man Group's goat cheese & sausage hatch chilies.
    Rivitar's greek smoked pizza
