Good luck JoJo, The Great North American Spice Co. has always looked like a good source on line. I keep my eyes open for it around here but with no luck. If I ever get around to where I need some I am going to have to go on line.

JoJo: Never have found it in any retail market. Unless you have a good sausage/bacon maker around, I do not suspect you will find it in a retail shop.
I do recommend here though, and they have been very prompt with their service! (If you are looking for anything else unique also like Juniper berries and such, this is the place!)

If you search for Pink Salts, you want Prague Powder #1. (I AM assuming you want to do your own cure mixes???) -
It's been a few years but we found some at World Market.

If you find it,let me know where. What are you gettin ready to cure? Schnucks has Morton's Tenderquick.

To Gator Bait and Little Chef...Great site. Thanks much

Thanks ya'll, I was out last night looking for it. I am planning to cure some pork butt and didn't want to wait for usps to deliver hi mountain. I wanted to get started Monday morning. My fault for running out, didn't think about it til time to get started.
Thanks for the site recommendation gator and LC.
Hoss I was at schnuuks last night and couldn't find it. After searching the net, I may have been looking in the wrong place. (canning not spices) -
Correct. The TQ is in the canning section.

Kroger's has Morton's TQ just north of you guys, might check there. I forget which section it's in but I have got it there before. Mike

It is hard to find at a store. www.sausagemaker.com has everything you need (and then some).

I'll cast another vote for sausagemaker.com. I just got a half pound from them.
One more thing to add...TenderQuick is not a one-for-one substitute for pink salt. Pink salt is 6.25% nitrite while TQ is .5% nitrite and .5% nitrate. If you use TQ, it's best to use TQ recipes. I made some sausage where I did some math and made the substitution, and it came out great, but they weren't to be stored very long. -
I think their brand is called InstaCure #1.
