Well of course...not!!!!

So what you are saying is, you are walking on egg shells, like me, when you make a delicious dinner, even thought she wanted something different? Like whatever?
-
You are lucky she is just commenting on the cut of meat. There are some of us who have wives who can't understand our enjoyment of our EGGs. to them it's just a grill. My wife says to me, "everything doesn't have to be cooked on the EGG". I guess I can say to her, "au contrare" I beg to differ with you. They have no clue.
I say to my wife,"what makes you happy makes me happy". Why can't they say the same thing to us ? -
Because they are WIFES!Put on this Earth to TORMENT US!Not like the KIDS don't do a GOOD ENOUGH JOB!!!

Did you rest well on the couch last night?
My husband knows that when he passes I am replacing him with a gay man. Sweet Thing will love ALL the same things I do, and heaven knows as working woman I could use a wife. But to be honest I would hate to come home to a woman. -
ha ha love it Renee!! I was going to post the same thing
-
Well the real question is did she ever act like she enjoyed filet BEFORE this episode? Faking it is a common issue with women, but usually required with men who do not know how to bring a filet to perfection and the woman just wants to get the experience over with all the time thinking "my lord what an idiot."
Remember when striped "awning pattern" furniture was all the rage? I had a couch and a loveseat I really liked. When I picked it out, I asked hubby (WWII) what he thought. "Sure," he says, "fine with me." When WWII became ex-WWII, I said "would you like the awning stripe furniture?" being the generous thing that I am. He looks at me and says "I've always hated that couch and loveseat." Say what? Why didn't he say something then? Because he thought I liked it. Yeah, I did, but there are other things I would have liked just as well.
It's a difficult problem. I live with a man (WWIII) who likes lamb well done. This does not bode well for the future and should have been on my checklist of possible red flags years ago. Sigh.

my wife always says " I don't like anything cooked on the Egg" and " everything cooked on the Egg has that same 'Egg' taste..." Implying but not coming right out with "... and I don't like it".
so if your only problem is filet M, you're miles ahead of me!
the other day I was cooking fish on the Egg and I cooked a separate filet for her in the oven because I just didn't want to listen to her BS again.
I'm glad to see some women joined in on this, the discussion was getting too one-sided. -
I knew that I was in love when I saw my wife clean fish.

Not much in this area (we raise BEEF cattle). Maybe she would prefer a sirloin? :pinch:
-
You should get a much better price on Craigslist. :laugh:__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

You cold offer to throw her a 'going away party' if she would only leave...
-
What Pat & Frank said plus does she speak spanish from The Royal Academy of The Spanish Languaje?? :P
-
Yes, she does speak Spanish as well as Portuguese.
-
   oh shoot.....sure she wouldn't like living in this hectic country, without servants, eating hot & spicy chiles..., .....
-
Not sure how you cooked it, but to me beef tenderloin is rather bland. Even wrapped in bacon if the meat isn't spiced up right it's just not right.
I could use an extra wife around here. I'll take her.. -
You are right, it can be bland, but oh so tender and juicy if cooked right
-
the whole tenderloin I did the other night was heaven. not bland at all. it slept in a nice wine bath with enough garlic to sink a ship! tons of rosemary and nice sear.
-
That looks good. How much and what kinda wine did you use?
Tenderloin will be next, I'll just tell her it's organic low fat ribeye. :P -
Well if I offer her a going away party, I could always serve up filet :woohoo:
-
Pat you forgot the most important:
She have her own eggs :pinch:Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers. -
You spiced it up right..
