Thanks man. Gotta agree on the canned Hunts. Just recently grabbed a can of their sauce to make pizza sauce from, and it did not have ANY of the metallic taste I have been getting from the Contandina that came highly recommended.
Will definitely try out a batch of that sauce. Sounds simple and good.

You know, there are a few dead guys who have been attributed as having said that hunger is the best sauce...but since I'm not a big fan of starvation, I'll vote for dead guy sauce instead. Good luck.

Side question:
Where did you get your measuring utensils?
Photo number three shows your measuring cups and spoons. I've been on the lookout for a good set of measuring cups and spoons, and those really look great: metal, etched or stamped numbers, rather than painted, easy to scrape a straight-edge across the rim for a level spoon/cupful.
All my crappy plastic OXO cups and spoons have lost their labels. I can generally judge them by sight, but my wife is lost if she tries to use them. -
