After many hours of anticipation my Large BGE was just delivered. I'm going to pop in the DVD, but unfortunately my first cook will have to wait until tomorrow as I need to leave the house in about two hours.

Welcome. It's a life changing experience you'll enjoy more every cook.

You are about to have a lot of funSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.

I know everyone likes pictures so here's one of my new LBGE. Behind it is my old Genesis Gold gasser which I think will be staying under its black grill cover a lot from now on.

Alright - first photo is up! And look-it how clean pretty and shinny...nice!

For my first cook I did the babyback ribs recipe from the DVD and they turned out great!!!

Yep, first photo uploaded. I hit a few snags, but managed.
I'm thinking my first cook tomorrow is going to be chicken thighs. Details to follow. -
Congrats. That old gaser will be good to store your Eggsessories. That is how I use mine now.

Eggers Prayer-
Our egg, which art in sizes, hallowed be thy smoke, thy will be grilled, at home as it is at eggfest. Give us this clay our daily brisket and forgive us our rubs, as we forgive those who gas grill against us, and lead us not to flashback but deliver us from overnighters. For thine is the grill, the smoke, the egg. Let's eat!
-
Will do after I cook it tomorrow.
-
All that has already started. I have some Dizzy Pig rubs, a placesetter, a Pro Q smoker, some Smokinlicious dust, and I know I'll be ordering an adjustable rig and spider from the CGS as well as a pizza stone and a small CI grid so that I can sear with the spider.
I may have no experience with charcoal or the EGG, but I'm going to have a lot of toys. -
put that gasser on craigslist for some other sucker. use that cash to fund your new habit. that is until someone gets you hooked on the bomba, then you will be a tool of the bomba machine.
