RIP Car Wash Mike, I look forward to doing your ribs as my first rib cook.

I was fortunate enough to have met him once. My first fest and afterparties. I got to try his great ribs and the late night shrimp. He will be missed.
The 'Car Wash Mike' name will live on forever. -
Very sad indeed.
May You Rest In Peace. -
Can't say I knew him, but I've heard of his rib method. Sounds like he was a class guy. RIP brother. Hate losing quality people.

Although i did not personlly know CWM, i enjoyed reading his posts and drooling over his pictures... He will be sorely missed, my condolences to all his friends and family.
-
Just very sad, too early to go, but not of me to decide.
-
I don't post as frequently as I used to. But CWM was very helpful to me in my early days as an egger. He was funny and colorful. (Does anyone have a pic of his onion burger? He posted it so often, it was banned from the board.)
This is tough to take. I send thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

I'm a newbie egger and in the short time I've been a member of the forum, I have grown to view Carwash Mike as one of the most well known and respected guys in the grillin' game!! My prayers are with his family and friends. RIP CWM!

Being new to the forum, I had not had the pleasure of meeting CarWashMike face-to-face, but he was 1 of the ones who's knowledge I utilized in learning how to cook on my Egg.
Seeing how his passing has affected those who knew him in "real life" as well as on this forum is a testament to Mike's character.
RIP Mike.Don't get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow, be like water. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup... Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend. - Bruce Lee -
As new guy on the forum I looked for Mike's posts. I learned a lot and am grateful for the opportunity to have learned from him. Rest easy Mike, Dave in Plumas County

We're on vacation and I just saw this. Sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I didn't know Mike personally, only through his posts here. He was obviously well thought of and will be missed by all. My best to his family.

Hey Todd:
I'm with you. I got an email from an acquaintance letting me know the news and I went back on the forum for the first time in a long time. I even had to send for a new password; it's been that long!
many of the 'old timers' here mean a lot to me.
