After seeing the post below by Chief96 about the price of wings I looked in my freezer to see what I paid at Costco for the kind that are sealed in plastic pouches, 6 to a pouch, 8+ lbs total.

Didn't know till I opened them they were whole wings, I usually get the Tyson 10 lb bag of parts. Well my meat shears would cut through the bone, sort of but not the skin. Pissed me off, BP was going up and it's garbage night.

Yep, took em all out of the freezer, still frozen in the pouches and tossed em. BP coming back down, feel better already. Too bad one of you were not close I would have passed em on.

Cheers,
Bordello with better BP now.
Problem solved. :) & it feels good to vent, thanks.

Others might not, but I appreciate your solution Bob. I don't know that I would've done it, but I understand the sentiment.

Thanks, I know that is not the normal reaction and I thought about it but when I felt the BP going up it was the lesser of two evils.

May not have been the right solution but problem solved.

    Thanks,

Feeling better, having a Vita Mix green drink, no Vodka.

Hell, it was "normal" enough  Ever once in while I get pissed enough to throw what ever it is that is frustrating me out the window. It works wonders sometimes when you actually follow through with it

    Bob,

Too bad you tossed them. There is no need to cut through the bone. You simply cut through the skin right at the joint and cut the tendon that hold the flat to the drum and they separate quite easily.

Or you could cook them whole and when done they pretty much just pull apart.

I use those same wings almost exclusively and they are really pretty high quality chicken. If you have an opportunity to get some more at the right price they are worth a little bit of extra effort. Not to mention those little 6-packs are very convenient.
  • I did some of these Costco wings last night for the first time. I don't mind cutting them apart (I use a knife & cutting board) but they are small boney little things. I probably won't buy them again.

    Thanks,
I can get upset pretty quick when I find I didn't but what I thought I was getting. Best thing this morning is when I heard the garbge truck come by.

I was disapointed as I never thought they were whole wings, couldn't tell my the package.

I'll stay with the Tyson ones but I'm glad it's working for you.

You must have better BP then I or it's the fact that after detox I don't have anything to relax me.

That's funny, these were good size I just had not planned on the extra work.

I'm now a Tyson devote.

Ok, I'm diving in where I know I don't belong...but why would you throw away perfectly good chicken?

Couldn't you just have cooked them, eaten the wing and discarded the flappers?

Was it purely a principle thing?

    Am I missing something here?

    Ok, back to my corner.

I was pissed that I had gotten whole wings thinking I had parts, BP was going up so I took care of the problem, BP came back down shortly afterward and I felt real good when that garbage truck came this morning.

Been to Costco this morning and got a 10 lb bag of frozen wings. Parts, 1&2 :woohoo:
