Not the inside but the outside, nothing seems to work, dish soap,windex,Oxyclean nothing takes off that greasy coating it gets. Does anyone have the magic formula?

There was a thread on this over the weekend. Someone said simple green and I believe RRP uses a fireplace glass cleaner. Look for the thread.

Yes Steve - both of those recommendations were mine... either Simple Green or Rutland's Fireplace Glass cleaner which cuts through the creosote quite well. One bottle has already lasted me 10 years.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Get it hot to 600 degrees and then clean the outside.
