I just ordered one. Best price I've seen.

Looking for a roach clip to attach it to the dome probe.

that IS a fantastic price.
I just take the dome thermometer out and put the maverick probe in the hole. No clips, no adjusting for dome vs. grid temps. Easy peasy. -
-
That is a great price. I looked up when I purchased mine from Amazon in May of 2007 and I paid $2 more than that with free shipping.

Those clips are cheaper at Radio Shack. -RP

I just ordered it. Not a bad price.

It can't be that easy

I spent a day looking (and did not find) for clips.
Why didn't I think about doing what you said...Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given another Mini to add to the herd. -
Lol...well we can't ALL be this brilliant.

Seems to have worked fine for me. The pulled pork is always good, and I suppose that's all that matters.
It DOES get kind of tricky opening the dome, with the wires hanging all over the place. Thankfully, with pulled pork, I almost never open the dome. -
I pick up one of these on Friday. I am disappointed that the grill probe is only good up to 409 degrees. But again, its a smoker rig so...
-
right, and what are you going to cook at 400 degrees that will take long enough to justify the need for a remote thermometer?
-
Most cookers can't cook low and high like the Egg, so Maverick made it for low and slow, I figure. At that price point, I'm hoping for the best out of it.I like my butt rubbed and my pork pulled.
