Request to order ceramic cover

OK. True story.
I smoked a turkey today, starting at 12noon. I started drinking at 1pm. After 5 hours at 225 degrees, it was done.
After my wife and I had part of the turkey, I was so proud of myself and the BGE of the quality and tastyness, I went outside to hug the BGE.
In my intoxicated state I broke the ceramic lid. How can I buy a new one?
Please dont laugh at me, as I could have lied and just said that the lid was innocently dropped and broke.
Im being honest, and only want to order a new ceramic lid.
Where do I go?

tallen, I just hate it when that s#@& happens

I would check with your local dealer and if you don't have one call the Mother Ship and I'm sure they will sell ya a new one and ship it to you.

When you say lid do you mean the rain cap or the whole dome. If its just your rain cap, you can just pick it up at your local dealer, I just picked one up, was 25 dollars.

I know the turkey was great, but to hug your egg and break the top. That is one for the record book.

something tells me there is much more to this story
... I really think I want to hear it
... however, you're right, you've been more honest than most would have been

That what I enjoy about the forum.... I can 'learn' from others and this is one to remember....

Thanks,

1) props to you for your honesty.
2) That must have been some fantastic turkey!
3) How hard did your wife laugh? -
how hard did you hug your egg?

I meant that the ceramic rain top broke, not the egg itself.
Yes, the turkey was good. Quite good. Combine that with the amount of alcohol, and my wife said that I went outside to hug the egg because it did such a good job.
Well, I had placed the rain top on it earlier to smother the coals, and when I hugged it, the top came off and hit the ground, breaking it.
Thankfully I usually dont drink, and that Im a happy drunk.
I dont know what I was thinking at the time, and in any event, couldnt remember it if I did. I can vaguely remember being sad after hurting the egg.
Oh well, lesson learned...No more hugging the egg.
