I need to replace my gasket (again) and am wondering what is the
latest and greatest adhesive to use with the BGE felt.

Is the 3M spray adhesive still preferred, or is there a better
alternative?

Good eggin'

I just replaced my gasket this weekend. I used the Nomex gasket and the 3M 77 adhesive. Spray it on and let it sit for about 2 minutes until it gets tacky. Then put the gasket on and let it cure for 24 hours. This is important. This is my 4th gasket on this egg in 2 years and I hope the last. But before I never let it sit for the full 24 hours so maybe that contributed to the early gasket failures. Good luck

Make sure you have the Nomex gasket or get a Rutland. I believe silicone adhesive is far superior to the 3M Super 77. Use the high temp silicone found at auto parts stores. I will also add it is probably not rated for food preparation. I have a Rutland now applied with silicone and it is bullet proof.
