Cast Iron grill on a large?

I finally bought a cast iron grill for my large, so I can get a better sear on my steaks. Now that its in my grubby mitts, Im wondering if the pointed side of the grill goes up, or the flat side? Any opinions?

It's just a personal preference...I have mine skinny side up..but there really is NO wrong way.

i toyed with the idea myself. I think thick side up for steaks, thin sude up for chicken&fish.

Try it both ways to see which you like better.

Just depends if you want thin or thick grill marks

Flat side up for burgers and stuff like that,pointed side up for steaks and chops.Pretty much use the flat side for foods that need flipping with a spatula and pointed side up for anything you flip with tongs.

Anything that has a chance of falling apart when flipped should be cooked on the flat side. Everything else on the other side.
