Walked away for a few minutes tonight and came back to a 1,200* LBGE :woohoo:Throw on the Daisy and batten down the hatches. :P that poor piece of Pecan.

Tossed on 2 pork tenderloins pounded together and rolled up with some Buckboard bacon, fresh Mozz and Spinach. It settled in at 475 and had the meat on an upper ring of the AR.(Maiden Voyage)

Oh, the boys and I also eat the sh!t outa the Artichokes. ;)

Stem up in an inch of boiling water (w/lemon/salt/garlic) for about an hour. until the stem area is fork tender. Pull the meat from the leaves with your lower teeth after a dunk in some garlic butta. then at the end take the heart from the remnants and toss in the butter. POW!! then eat your meal. ;)

It's a stand alone unit that is meant to be built into the wall. It has a great blower on the top that really boots out the heat. I just wish it took it's combustion air from the outside. It really is a great unit. My basement gets a bit cold while the fire is burning though, as the thermostat is on the main level. You shoulda seen Mollys face when she entered the 50 some degree basement and checked out the guest bedroom. I turn down the fire and let the furnace take over when I have visitors. Almost as funny as Tim and Steven in the kids room with the little SOFT blankies.

    What a weekend...

Adam, that's exactly what I do. And vise versa. When I have left over lump in the egg, I get a shovel full of the small pieces take them inside, pile them up in the bottom of the fireplace, light them with the weed burner and add some firewood. Open the vents and in a few minutes I have a roaring fire.

Seems like a great use of natural resources.
