my wife bought me a book "the bread bakers apprentice" by peter reinheart... and i have just worked oon it for the last six to eight weeks.. it has been really fun.. if you can find time for it it is well worth the time

bread doea not stay long around here.. it will usually go stale in two to three days if that long.. but we live near the civic center they have a little pond over there that has ducks and geese and the little one loves to feed the ducks so it is a win win situation.. if not i may be lining the walls of my house in an attempt at keeping warm around here :ohmy:

thanks clay no i am not ambidextrious i can only wave and drink with my right hand :laugh:

the dream roll did not come out as nice on the sliced pictures.. but always taste great.. so no picture :(

the sweet bread did brown up nice i had to make two batches before mine ever rose enough and even then it did not follow what the book said. it told me it should raise out of the pie pans but never got close to the sides... i baked and ate it anyway :P

i thought the walnut bread would have combined better but it still tasted good..

i don't know about talented but bull headed surely works better to me as a description... and i did live in ohiuo in the 70's and early 80's.. moved from coshocton in 1983... too early for me to make bread then as i was 11 :laugh:
