Super Bowl MENUS:
SmokinParrotHead
Posts: 532
Okay, I am curious as to what all everyone is planning for the Super Bowl. I think there may have been a thread here where someone was asking about what is a good SB food to do on the egg.....but I don't think there has been a thread about entire menus.
We haven't completed ours yet, part of the reason I am asking :woohoo: . What we know so far that I am doing, LOTS and LOTS of ABT's, and LOTS of Car Wash Mike's Ribs. Of course there will also be some good dips and chips....but not sure what else to do.
What all are you folks planning as far as your whole spread?

I'm sorry folks! I don't know how I overlooked or just plain forgot about Pat's(FlaPoolMan) thread on this exact same topic.
SO, I will add one question to mine........WHO YA GOT??
My heart says SAINTS.....I want them to win, if for no other reason than because the Colts completely pussed out on the undefeated season like a bunch of pansies....HOWEVER.....my money is on the Colts....BIG. Colts, 34-13 -

Started cooking some on Tuesday. Brisket is ready and sliced the beef roast tonight. Butts go on tomorrow night and the rest early Sunday morning. Hope to have most of the food done by 3:00. Plenty of eggs and cookers so it's not as hard as it seems. This our 18'th year with the superbowl party so most of the bugs are worked out. Picked up my friends / dealer's grill trailer today and that helps a bunch.
-
Pat, how many and what size eggs do you have if you don't mind me being nosey?(I like to refer to it as being inquisitive....

Here it is before he rebuilt it a few months ago. The sidebox is still there, large egg was replaced with the XL and traiger replaced the holland in the back left. I'll get a new pic of it tomorrow.

Being a newbie I am going to cook a couple of old faithfuls (chickens). I have really been playing with the temp control and think I am ready to try a couple racks of ribs. Cross your fingers and hope they turn out edible. My wife has been after me about some smoked Brie so I am going to give that a shot as well. The Brie is going on this morning, I will wrap it and let it set. That's all I have for the grill so far. Then you have your assorted chips and dip.
