I need to do pulled pork BBw for 35 people. How much should I smoke?

Assuming there are sides, and you are not feeding all large hungry males, I'd prolly go with four 7-8 pounders, and you should have some leftovers.

With sides, allowing about 1/3 ounce per serving, you can divide the # people by 1.6 to get number of raw pounds to cook. 35/1.6 = 21# raw meat.
This will give you about a 20% surplus in case you have a hungry crowd or want a few leftovers. -

That's much better. I din't want people looking at me like, "is that all I get?" I was told in a Nutrition class that we only really need 4 ounces of protien a day. I eat that for breakfast sometimes.

thank you for the help. I only asked that because I've had some people on here get mad at me for posting a question that I should have looked up. Can't win them all. Thank you for all the help. It's my first time cooking for a youth group at church. I asked what the other parents make, and they told me they order pizza or make chicken nuggets. I wanted to do something differant for them. Again, thanks for the help.

Thank you to everyone for all the help. I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. And hope no one got mad at me on here. I'll post some pics. I'm also a little bummed. Drove across town to get my favorite rub from the only place I know where to get it from. And they were completely out. It's Bear Claw Honey Butt Spice. Guess I'll to make it myself or start looking for someplace else to get it.
