Making Beef Jerky

So I posted a topic for making beef jerky on the fourm. Decided what the heck and went for it.
There was a really cool rack for hanging the jerky as it was dehydrating. Do you think you can buy a rack like that!! Not a chance. So I made a homemade one out of material in the garage just to see if I like it or not.
The Jerky was made out of eye of the round roast marinaded for 2 days. I took a pic of it on the egg. Will let you know how it turns out. Could be going to the store to buy a package if it does not!! LOL
I was going to post a pic but not sure how!!

I'm looking forward to seeing your set up. Good luck posting pics.

So I have made the jerky and it was amazing!! I sliced it too thick but it was still pretty tasty!
It was very tender and hard to keep around as everyone wanted to try it!!
Here is a pic of my setup that I made up this aft.

Very nice looking rig. Is that aluminum angle you are using?
GG -
I made four pieces of alum angle (1`by 1`) 13.25 long and then cut some stainless all thread (0.25 - 20 unc) at 8`to adjust the height of the rack. You could make the legs about 7 inches and it would work.
Took about an hour to build. Nothing fancy but it works!! -
I like the idea of the all thread.
I have a High Mountain Jerky Stand but yours will allow full use of the size of any given egg.
I am going to make some up and keep one and give another to my son-in-law who just bought and egg. My other kids who are still using gasser, weel they get soap-on-a-roap.
Very nice idea and thanks for sharing.
