New to the BGE community. Does anyone use the Digital Probe Thermometer with any luck. I was looking for a thermometer that I can leave in to cut back on opening the lid.

I like and use this one.
Maverick ET-7 Remote-Check Wireless Thermometer
Also you might want to look at a Splash-Proof Super-Fast Thermapen -
I bought one two weeks ago and have used it several times already. It, and most here will agree I'm sure, is a MUST HAVE!

If the Maverick isn't to your liking, I just use a couple of AccuRate units I got at Wally World for about $13 each. The probes are dishwasher safe and they've been very reliable.

I use the Maverick ET-73 which has 2 probes - one for the meat and one for the grid temperature. It will transmit about 100 feet to the receiver unit which has alarms for high and low temperatures. I use it for every one of my low and slow cooks. Costs about $40.Large BGE

I've had a Polder for a number of years and now am using it with the Egg. Recently for Christmas I received an ET-73 and am working out the bugs about transmission. When I get it worked out i am sure it will save me many trips down to check on the Egg temps.
