Can Tung Oil be used over Thompson's Water Seal on Cypress?

    Tung Oil gives zero UV protection and very little waterproofing. It is NOT an exterior finish. It is for interior use on furniture to get a soft, antique look. :S

    I thought that the Chinese used tung oil on the stones and bricks that built the Great Wall...???
    I did use it 30 years ago on a black walnut grandfather clock and you are right it does give it a soft antique look. Have not tried it on anything else since.
