Up to 14" of snow will be on my egg this weekend. It dosen't look like its going to be a good one for cooking on the egg. Along with the snow we are going to have up to 25+ mph winds. Brrrr.

Tom, I'm still in search of an elusive tandoori recipe but just can't get it to taste nearly as good as the commercial ones. Gotta love T&T, yes I noticed the first one opened in your neck of the wood recently. Few years ago they opened the first one in Toronto less than five minutes from my house. They are now owned by Loblaws. We used to buy a Malaysian brand (Baba's) curry powder from them but it has been discontinued...it cooks almost 'instantly' and the taste/consistency was really good. Have a great weekend.

Think I'm going to cook up a CI pot of shrimp etouffee tonight. Sounds good on a chilly night down here.

    WOW! That sounds great!
How do you go about doing your étouffée??? What and how do you serve?
I had the greatest ever, a few years ago now, at a nieces’ wedding down in New Orleans (the Big Easy) and have tried to duplicate it….With some success, but I’m always open and ready for ideas.
It was at the groom’s dinner; we had all sort of REALLY yummy stuff (a full, very large, dinning room table) that James’ mother, Marie, had had going in her kitchen most of the day!
I don’t even remember all of what we had, but the shrimp étouffée served with fried green tomatoes and a soft shelled crab, still stand out in my mind!!
I’ll share my concoction you…You can share yours? If you are interested in doing so.
