We did not do these on the egg. I needed to cook in deeper oil than I did the lobster wantons in at Rods and I am not real comfortable with frying on an open flame :pinch:
But the beef is from the Clay's pulled beef from the night before. just filled soft flour tortillas
with the beef and some shredded cheese. and rolled and tied and fried
great way to use up any left over meats. We also did the sweet tater fries that Vadalia1 was talking about. Just sprinkled with pineapple head... worth the calories
the pic is just the last one being cooked with some of the fries. these are very filling.

I think once you fry a burrito it becomes a chimichanga. Regardless, it looks outstanding. I'm also planning on making shredded beef burritos/chimis this weekend. I braise the beef for a few hours in water, onions, garlic and chili powder, then shred it and reduce the liquid to a sludge and add the beef back in. Outstanding! I like to make a big batch of burritos and then freeze them.

Sorry to jump in, but I wanted you to see what I did with the last of the hot dog buns. Tuna! With English steak and onion crisps! The funny looking thing is a pickle.

I'd go with Chimichanga, burritos aren't often fried. Pulled Beef BBQ sandwiches, chimichangas, you'd do all right here in Texas.LBGE Katy (Houston) TX
