Best Cook Yet

It is unanimous.....my best Egg cook yet was my brisket.


I coated it in Dale's seasoning the night before and let it sit in the fridge. The next morning I put enough black pepper on it to choke a horse along with a homemade rub and put it on the Egg at 225. For the last hour I spritzed it with apple cider every 20 mintes or so. I pulled it at 185, wrapped it in foil and a towel and let it sit for two hours.


Brisket for supper last night, chopped beef sandwiches for supper tonight.


I am eat up with this Egg cooking! I've got chicken thighs, a whole chicken and a boston butt in the fridge and trying to decide what to cook next

    NO..I've seen it mentioned and kinda get the idea.......a whole bird split down the back, pounded fflat and grilled....right?


    I'm wondering if anybody has spatcocked a duck yet? Hmmmmmmm

    Spatchcocked my first bird last night - cooked it on the gaser. Don't get my Egg until next weekend at the Fest. Way easy and very tasty. Looking forward to a comparison cook when the Egg finds its way home.
