Which Big Bob Gibson?

I'm driving through Decatur, AL tonight with my family. We decided we would take the opportunity to visit the famous Big Bob Gibson BBQ. However, when I looked up their address, I see they have two locations in Decatur. Their website calls both of them the "Southeast Decatur" location. One is on 6th Ave (US Hwy 31) and the other is on Danville Rd. Anybody have a suggestion for which one we should go to? Any difference? Is one considered the original?
I hope everyone's doing well. Sorry I haven't been around in quite some time.

The one on 6th Ave is the main location and where I would suggest you eat. It is a sit down restaurant.
The one located on Danville Rd (same food) is more of a walk up and order place. I don't want to say fast food, but it really resembles the layouot of a Wendy's. -
Thank you so much, that's the info we needed.

Not sure which way your coming (assuming I-65) it will take about 10 to 15 minutes to get there after you exit. Enjoy your meal! I have a 9.7 pound butt on right now with Big Bobs recipe rub on it.

Say hello to Ken Hess if he is working, he is a fellow Egghead and a chef there. -RP

I second CrimsonGator's reccomendation for the 6th Ave resturant. This is the only one I visit. If you have never tried it, the chicken with white sauce is unique and the stew is also excellent.

He and the rest of the crew are in KC at the Royal.

Your right, forgot about that. -RP

So, what did you get?

We got the half rack of ribs with 3 other meats (pulled pork, brisket and chicken.) That white sauce really is good. The kids really liked the chocolate pie for dessert. One of the kids got the stew, which the adults liked better than he did.
Thanks for the suggestions! -
I had the brisket on Tuesday. I forgot to tell you to save room for every type of pie. The lemon ocebox os very good too.
Did they have all of the MIM trophies at the front. They may have taken them to KC, not sure.
